About EFS

Electrical Farm Services Ltd (EFS Ltd) was established in 1971 by John Davis, known affectionately as Dick. As our name suggests, we originally began working within the Agricultural sector, providing local farms with all their electrical requirements. At the time, this included all Electrical, Ventilation and Irrigation for anything from Milking Parlours to Grain Stores.

In 1987, fresh from Stanway Secondary School, Carl Powling joined EFS Ltd as an Electrical Apprentice. Whilst studying for his apprenticeship, Carl worked beside Dick learning the trade. During this time, EFS Ltd continued to work predominantly in Farming but also ventured into London, providing Electrical Services for Deutcshe Bank and Barclays Capital, amongst others.

During 2002, Dick retired, and now, fully qualified and with 15 years available experience, Carl took over EFS Ltd and continues as Director to this day. Joined by his wife Hayley as Company Secretary, Carl now employs a small staff ranging from Fully Qualified Electricians and Sub-Contractors to Electrical Improvers and Labourers. Not forgetting our Apprentices, which is where it started for Carl all those years ago.

EFS Ltd has continued to evolve our services to include Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors covering the East Anglia region and beyond. Priding ourselves on continued development, using up-to-date technologies providing high quality and professional services to our customers.
