SOLAR (PV) INSTALLATION
& MAINTENANCE

Solar PV needs relatively low maintenance considering the complexity of the system.

Solar (Photovolatic) Panels work by capturing the sun’s energy and converting it into Electricity to use in your home.

When the sun shines, solar energy is absorbed by the individual PV cells in the panel. These cells are made from a semi-conducting material usually silicone. The PV cells produce an electrical charge as they become energised, this creates a direct current (DC) of electricity. The DC passes through an Inverter, which turns it into an alternating current (AC) which is used for household appliances.

EFS Ltd is an MCS Approved Contractor, has RECC and Safecontractor Membership and is NIC EIC Approved, so from design to installation you can have peace of mind when we install your Solar PV Systems it will be to the highest standards and current regulations and legislation.

Once installed, the panels require very little maintenance other than a hose down twice a year to remove any dirt or debris. Any leaves or larger debris should be brushed off as this can lower the performance of the panels. Inverters should be checked annually to ensure correct functionality.
